Default My Assasin Guide

This is my Assasin, hope u like it. Its quite of nice, since it gives a few conditions and inflicts much damage, not losing energy a lot. This build was fully made by skills in Gw freaks. Enjoy reading.

A/x
Level: 20

Critical Strikes: 10 (9+1)
Dagger Mastery: 16 (12+4)
Shadow Arts: 10 (9+1)

- Unsuspecting Strike (Critical Strikes)
If this attack hits, you strike for +21 damage. If your target was above 90% Health you deal an additional 30 damage.
Energy:10 Cast:0 Recharge:10

- Desperate Strike (Dagger Mastery)
If you have less than 73% Health, you deal +53 damage.
Energy:5 Cast:0 Recharge:10

- Repeating Strike (Dagger Mastery)
Must follow an off-hand attack. If it hits, this attack strikes for +21 damage. If it misses, it takes an additional 15 seconds to recharge.
Energy:5 Cast:0 Recharge:0

- Temple Strike [Elite] (Dagger Mastery)
Must follow a lead attack. If this attack hits, target foe is interrupted, Dazed and Blinded for 10 second(s).
Energy:10 Cast:0 Recharge:12

- Twisting Fangs (Dagger Mastery)
Must follow an off-hand attack. If it hits, Twisting Fangs strikes for +12 damage and struck foe suffers from Bleeding and Deep Wound for 21 seconds.
Energy:10 Cast:0 Recharge:12

- Death's Charge (Shadow Arts)
Shadow Step to target foe. If that foe has more Health than you, you are healed for 100.
Energy:5 Cast:1 Recharge:45

- Shadow Refuge (Shadow Arts)
For 4 seconds, you have a 50% chance to "evade" attacks. When Shadow Refuge ends, you are healed for 90.
Energy:5 Cast:1 Recharge:8

- Resurrection Signet ()
Resurrect target party member. That party member is returned to life with 100% Health and 25% Energy. You may use this Signet only once per mission.
Energy:0 Cast:3 Recharge:0

Instead of Res signet ( On 12vs12 battles)

- Mark of Instability (Deadly Arts)
For 10..30 seconds, the next time you hit target foe with a dual attack skill, that foe is knocked down.
Energy:10 Cast:1 Recharge:20

or


- Way of the Lotus (Shadow Arts)
For 27 seconds, the next time you hit target foe with a dual attack skill, you gain 12 Energy.
Energy:5 Cast:1 Recharge:20


Now, lets see if we could add other skills, from other classes. Just rememeber that in the skills i mentioned below , u take those attributes from shadow arts, which would make a 9 for the secondary class attribute.

A/W

Just instead of last 3 skills (unless ur not in 12vs12, then only the 2 last ones xcept res signet on the end) use heal signet, watch urself and fear me. Its quite a nice combination, team friendly, and makes u a nice energy drainer. If u dunno what skill of those change for res signet, just follow ur instinct, and choose the one that fits u best, and take out the one u use least(or like least).

A/Mo

Lol that one gave me sure a lil laugh. Was thinking of skills like Mending Heal hands and Restore life, such as in pre-made pvp paladin, like sum kind of Assasino paladin or something... lol. Well, since the prots and smites wont make u survive for long, it would be best to choose healing prayers. Although, there is an alternative which u might consider to use - Martyr Assasin. Just add martyr , purge conditions, and choose another elite skill instead of temple. I dont reccommend this, since it reduces the assasins effectivness, but its good to try, since if rangers can, why not assasins.
But that was just an alternative, lemme tell u about the build u could use to survive. There is no best 3 skills u could use, in my opinion. Let me just then say which ones u can choose. It goes like this:
Vig spirit, healing breeze, heal area mend ailment, smite hex, guardian, Etheral Light(70 hp , 1 sec recharge 5 en. cost and 5 sec recharge, easily interupted) and eventually healing seed.


A/E

Well this class is not the one for surviving, its more for endurance(+ armor enchants) and dmg( conjure x spells).
The one class of magic i dont reccomend is earth, it wont help u a lot, well unless u wanna be some kind of knockdown/ aftershock assasin:P.
Fire - its kind of nice to take conjure fire. Thats probably the only skill u can take here. But theres one u can also take with it, although it takes lots of energy to cast, and its easily removed - mark of rodgort. If u really wanna take it , consider taking glyph of energy, or ask ur friend to bring energizing wind.
Ice - Conjure frost and armor of mist. u might also take Mist form, but its an elite so u wud need to think for a replacement for temple strike.
Air - Gale, conjure lightning, shock. If u want to take just gale, u need 5 air magic(so it wont fail), and spend the other points for something else(for example critical strikes or other ele attributes)
Elementalist other - Perhaps glyph of renewal if ur thinking of adding the assasin a long lasting powerful but huge recharge spell.

Waited for this one, was thinking would assasins makes good iway warriors, or better evaders than rangers. Not dissapointed, but they could do better;p

Beast Mastery - Well why to be a Lone Assasin, when u can have a pet for help. U may add 2 beast attacks , or calls, or heals. If u dont like pets and that u think ur too sexy for a pet, u might consider taking some spirits:P, Or u might as well take tigers fury(or beastial fury, dont see a diffrence). The one elite that made me interested, was Lacerate, the new beast mastery elite, which might be a good for u.

Wilderness Survival - uuu i like that one. U can take dryders defences and storm chaser to survive for longer, troll unguent or healing spring for healing, serpents quickness for faster usage of assasin skills and spirits to empower ur team. U might take Apply poison , for extra damage over time. The skills i dont reccommend are traps (doh, lol) , and arrow attacks ( were not robin hoods men in tights, right?).

Marksmanship - No comment, all the skills are arrow attacks, for more information look wilderness survival.

Ranger other - Same as marksmanship, except antidote signet which im pretty sure is not in style these days.

Expertise - well were not primary rangers.

A/N

Soul Reaping - Only 2 elite skills, and doh we cant even spend a point for this attribute.

Curses - hmm hard one, i must say. Perhaps, try soul barbs, thats the one which fits best. U might also take mark of pain, and eventually parasitic bond, which im sure its not often used by 3 pips energy regen characters. If u wanna pack another condition, u could take enfeeble / enfeebling touch, for warriors. Hmmm, the one which might be a good one is a plague sending, to transfer conditions from urself to a target(and maybe some others).

Blood magic - Best to take blood renewal. Eventually, u can take mark of subversion to scare those casters.

Death Magic - Taste of pain ( health when target is below 50% hp) and soul feast or necrotic traversal, If u like teleporting.

Necromancer Other - Grenths balance(Elite) , plague touch , gaze of contempt(remove all enchant from enemy when 50%+ hp). Its the only skills i recommend, and its the only skills that there are.

A/Me
Uu, never liked those fellas. Might be hard for me to choose the right skills, but it should be ok.

Fast Casting - Nope. not looking here.

Domination Magic - I'd say hex breaker, mind wrack guilt and that new skill , overload, cant think of anything here.

Inspiration - Any Mantras, that u think are suppost to be used in a place, with specific enemies. For healing, Ether Feast. U might consider to take any of the signets which make u get energy, like leech signet or the 2 new ones, hexeater signet and ether signet. If u dont like hexes , get inspired hex. If u dont want enemies to have too much enchants, take insipired enchant. Nuff said.

Illusion magic - now that sound more interesting. For start u might think of distortion, since it blocks most of the attacks. Illusion of weakness is good, as it heals u when u get too low on health. Fragility is another great one, It makes lots of dmg with the condition skills i mentioned at start. From the new ones , Ancestors visage was the best one.(15 seconds , 10 energy, bane of all warriors that attack u , -3 energy and lose all adrenaline)

Mesmer other - Epidemic, and Echo.

A/Rt
Now thats the hardest part. It is not easy to mix new skills with another new skills. Another thing that makes it hard, its that most of the skills are binding rituals, which take lots of time to cast.

Spawning Power - Not looking here, u know why.

Channeling Magic - I dont think it is a good idea to waste 9 points in this attribute, no special skills u can use. But if u really want to take something from this , take any of the 3 weapon spells, splinter weapon wailing weapon and nightmare weapon.

Restoration magic - thats an easier one. Take Weapon of Warding. Ressilent weapon if ur spiked by conditions and hexes. Recupertation, noticed that it kinda works like mending, but thats on all allies and for some time. 15 energy, but worth it. 8 restore is enough to give u +3 pips of health regen for like 30+ seconds. Life is another good one. If u want to have any of those 2, u can take Spirit light weapon(elite).

Communing
Brutal weapon, vital weapon.

Ritualist other - Just soul twisting, an elite which i dont think we need.

well it was a good attempt at a guide, i would say it was a bit wishy-washy but a good guide for beginners none the less

Thanks for the comment, thats first.
About wishy-washy i think that everyone has his likes and dislikes, just added what skills i would add, as i would do the character. If somethings wrong with the skills(parameters) , blame gw freaks , . But hey, im glad u like it.

I'm totally against the idea of blasting 15e. for Apply Poison when you can get a better result from Entangling Asp...

Yeah, i actually agree. It is better. But what if u dont have what to waste ur skills for 0o. But seriously, those skills from secondary classes are just skills u might consider to use, i dont claim that they are best of the best to kill/heal urself/empower urself etc. Try to think of better secondary class skills, i wish u luck
